Overview

The customer/supplier risk environment is more intense now than it has ever been resulting from a combination of Force Majeure events, global outsourcing, supply chain disruptions, workforce attrition, information/data security threats, and technology evolution. Those challenges led to companies experiencing events that caused losses which could have been avoided or mitigated with good contract risk management.   

There are four Modules to this course, covering portions of chapters from The Contract Professional’s PlaybookThe Definitive Guide to Maximizing Value through Mastery of Performance- and Outcome-Based Contracting.  After taking this course you will be equipped to identify, address, and mitigate a range of third-party risks, saving your organization from tangible and intangible losses.    

What you will Learn in this e-workshop

This is a foundations workshop designed to enhance a third-party risk management competencies, and is appropriate for contracting professionals such as strategic sourcing, procurement, or account managers/leads, supply chain professionals, and Subject Mater Experts for on both the buyside and sell-side of customer/supplier relationships.

Jeanette Nyden

Faculty

Jeanette Nyden is a commercial contracting expert. Since 2003, she’s been helping contract professionals negotiate complex contracts with nuance, accuracy, and confidence. With her help, contract professionals learn to master the contracting life-cycle from drafting and negotiation to contract management by providing a range of online and in-person training programs. Jeanette is the author or co-author of four books including The Contract Professional’s Playbook and Getting to We. Jeanette has a valuable skill set that most organizations desperately need. She is a lawyer who understands business operation needs to form a high-performing customer/supplier relationship and a business consultant who understands the legal terms and conditions. She’s personally been involved in deals as small as a preferred vendor agreement for a privately held manufacturer, re-negotiated two outsourcing deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars each, and a multifaceted 1.4 billion dollar deal.

A member of the SIG University Advisory Board, International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) Think Tank, and IAOP Training & Certification Committee, he helped create many of the industry’s leading practices and regularly advances thought leadership as a keynote and breakout speaker at procurement conferences. He is also the bestselling author of 22 books.
